    A detailed instruction on how I have built retaining walls for home landscaping and borders. You can do this yourself with the step-by-step information..

    The first step is to determine the size or area of the retaining wall by linear foot. This will figure into the estimate of materials needed later. Mark off the area with a string line. Link to full article

    It is a guide, with techniques to build a retaining wall, but it can be a lot of work and time to get it right. Experienced installers can have challenges sometimes.
    don't hesitate to ask on any specific wall or project, they are all different and can be challenging.

    I hope the retaining wall project goes good and looks great

    Definitely, its a comprehensive and detailed link advising on retaining wall. By erecting a retaining wall, it helps transform the unusable back yard into a safe and level area than can actually be put into use.

    I would like to put some of the necessary equipments needed to build a retaining wall;

    * Shovel
    * tape measure
    * hammer
    * chisel
    * level
    * stakes
    * landscaping fabric
    * string line
    * garden hose
    * pencil
    * square
    * glasses
    * gloves
    * skid loader
    * compacter
    * wheelbarrow
    * circular cut-off saw with masonry blade
    * flexible polypropylene pipe
    * load of sand
    * gravel for the base
    * backfill
