Ground cover between stones

edited May 2010 in Paths and Walkways 0.00 Karma
I have a slate stone pathway through one of my flower beds. I have planted Sage in between the stones and I'm hoping it will spread out and close in the gaps. What have you put between stones?

Sage is a wonderful idea. I wonder if there are other herbs that will grow that way? I'm going to research it because I want both paving stones, and an herb garden.

What kind of sage did you plant? The kind I had grew up into a bush about 2 feet high. I like the idea of herbs between stepping stones but it would have to be a ground cover of sorts.
